At North Perth Primary School part of our LOTE program is French.
French is taught to students in all primary year levels for 60 minutes per week.
The early childhood LOTE program introduced the French language and culture to the students through relevant, engaging interactive activities; song; dance; drawing; games; film; puzzles and role-plays.
The middle childhood program continued to offer middle to upper primary school students opportunities to build on their French speaking; listening; reading and writing skills using a range of
authentic visual, audio-visual and concrete materials as stimuli.
The major aims of this learning area are to develop cultural understandings whilst acquiring the basic skills of French.
