Welcome to Kindy – Pre-Primary Room 16-17.

The K-PP classroom is a safe, positive, vibrant, and inclusive learning environment which promotes the independence, curiosity and imagination of its early learners.

We provide a play-based learning program with intentional adult and child-directed learning experiences. Students participate in an integrated program of activities designed to facilitate their optimal learning and development.

The K-PP learning program responds to the outcomes outlined in the Australian Kindergarten and Pre-Primary Curriculum. It is a differentiated program of learning which meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of each child.

Parents are considered as partners in their child’s education. Parent participation is encouraged and highly valued in the K-PP classroom. Effective teacher and parent communication is an important aspect of the K-PP classroom. A range of communication strategies is used to keep parents informed and involved. Parents receive weekly class emails detailing upcoming events, classroom news and our current learning focus.

K-PP students are assisted in developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes for learning success to build a solid foundation for their future education.

Room 16-17 is a combined Kindy-Pre-primary class.
