Parent Involvement

Parents are encouraged to participate actively in many aspects of school life. The relationship between student-parent- teacher is one which should be fostered in order to gain the most for the student. Parents are involved in the school in the following capacities:

• Support-A-Reader program. After two training sessions, parents can volunteer to be part of the Support-A-Reader program. They attend on a regular basis and assist specific students nominated by the class teacher.
• Assist in classrooms. Individual teachers can make arrangements to have parents assist in the classroom according to their own needs and preference.
• Assist during excursions.
• Assist with library, covering books.
• P&C assistance: Uniform shop, Canteen, Scholastic book club.
• Join the School Council.
