Annual Report 2008

This Annual Report provides information about the performance of North Perth Primary School during 2008 in both academic and non-academic areas, as well as a summary of key activities accomplished throughout the year.

It is a celebration of 2008 as well as an accountability report for parents, the wider community and the Department of Education and Training.

In brief, the positive partnership between North Perth Primary School and the wider community contributed to the provision of many enriching opportunities for our students in 2008. It was a year that focussed on creativity and performance in the arts, environmental initiatives and care for those less fortunate than ourselves.

It was also a year of outstanding student performance with very pleasing results in the first year of the NAPLAN, especially in mathematics. We were particularly proud of our graduating students with five of our Year 7 students accepted into Gifted and Talent Programs at government secondary schools.

It was the collaboration of the entire school community that allowed much to be achieved. I thank students, their parents and teachers and members of the wider school community for their contributions towards the success of the 2008 school year.
