Year Three
Miss Rosato teaches Year 3 in Room 13
My aim is to provide a happy, caring and stimulating learning environment where each child feels comfortable and confident enough to ‘have-a-go’ at all activities and be proud of their own achievements.
Room 13 has made an excellent start to the year. Our theme for the semester is sustainability. Our challenging goal for Environment Day next term is to have a zero waste classroom! We are working with Room 12 for science and technology and enterprise, learning all about biodiversity. A recent news topic was our pets, and we saw a menagerie of fish, rabbits, frogs and birds parade through the classroom! An exciting new addition to our week is Fun Faction Friday, where students in Years 3 and 4 will be working with their faction teams every Friday in a variety of literacy, numeracy, computer skills, dance, cooking and health activities. I am very pleased with how hard the students have been working in literacy and numeracy this term, as well as all other subject areas. They have set a great standard for the rest of the year to come. Well done, Room 13!

Miss Dunn teaches Year 3 in Room 12
All have settled well in Room 12, and we are ready for a big year for 2010. We will be focusing on Biodiversity in Society and Environment this year, and also preparing for Naplan that will be happening early in Term 2. Students are doing a fantastic job at remembering to complete and hand in all their homework on time, which is showing me great organisation and dedication on their part. Also thank you to parents who have been so fabulous and supportive.
