LOTE

At North Perth Primary School our LOTE program is French.

French is taught to students from pre-primary through to year seven for 40 minutes per week by our specialist teacher, Mademoiselle Lauren McGrath.

The students will learn the language through a variety of themes each year and will be engaged through the use of games, music, role-plays and many other fun activities.

The major aims of this learning area are to develop cultural understandings whilst acquiring the basic skills of French including listening and responding in the target language, speaking, reading and writing.

This is my first year at North Perth Primary School and I am impressed by the students’ willingness to learn. They have shown great enthusiasm towards learning the French language and are very capable students. I look forward to seeing how they progress over the course of the year.
